JVC to release 26-inch LCD TV on Aug. 1

TOKYO, Japan - Victor Co. of Japan (JVC) will release a 26-inch liquid crystal display (LCD) TV set (photo) on Aug. 1. The LT-26LC4 is the first 26-inch flat-screen TV and offers high-definition images made possible by JVC's plasma-display panel technology. The new product is also equipped with high-quality speakers used for audio equipment. JVC will not suggest a retail price for the LT-26LC4, which is expected to be available for around 370,000 yen.
